The agent who took my call repeatedly had to put me on hold, then asked me a huge number of security questions. The app and site are full of poorly designed systems and the features are very limited Recently I tried to do a chargeback on a transaction. If you want to view 6 months of statements, then 9 months, you have to use your phone to authenticate both times. This wouldn't be too bad if it was once every session, but they haven't set it up like that. Pretty much anything you want to do on the desktop site requires you to authenticate using the app. I've found their app and overall services available to be pretty poor in general. Lacking in online features and poor support Im done with it! Im starting the process of changing banks which will probably be less hassle than continuing banking with PTSB! Its an absolute nightmare! Im up to my two eyes with it now as the problems are so consistent, just when you think youve sorted something out, another problem arises. I work full time, I dont have the time to be constantly sorting out banking issues. I constantly have to contact customer care over some issue or another which takes up so much time and costs me money. If im letting someone else use my card I have to give them my 6 personal access digits because theyre needed for ordering off most websites. They close their banks at 3pm every day, the staff can do nothing for you in the bank anymore, everything has to be done online, the app doesnt work half the time and needs constant updating, the push notifications dont send, ive fallen behind on very important payments because of this. Ive been with Permanent TSB for nearly 20 years and never had a single problem with them until the last 5 years or so. Sorry to say you don't deserve any trust or business. It is so much easier it seams to find poor excuses then to do what is right. It is a joint account i filed and still this people playing this games to get out of doing the right think. Now the fun part we received a answer to my complaint stating since the letter was for my wife and i filed the complain they cant do anything do to privacy laws. The letter arrived a few days later the spelling was ok but the Phone number is still not the correct one. Ok, 3 day later a letter came sadly it was written by a preschool kid since not even our name was spelled right also the contact phone number on the letter, if calling you get a message that this number is disconnected or no longer in service! So i called again filled a complained and requested a new letter. The excuse was we did not open the account at that branch and only the branch where we opened the account can write it. It needed some serious talking and it was not easy to convince the staff that we are entitled to this and they finally agreed but was unable to write right there. Well one star is to much! We needed a conformation latter from the bank and went to the Branch in Mallow. What the hell are you lot playing at in there? Being done on the cheap with student tecchies? Incompetence? What the hell is your excuse? God knows ye screw us enough with bank charges and then ye go along and fck up an app that didn't need ye anywhere near it. I uninstalled it, re-installed it and any change - nope same s**t every time. Another scenario is where it says it is logging me out (after watching the site do a dial-up where the orange circle chases its own tail like the old dial-up broadband) as I have been inactive on the site for more than 5 minutes - pure crap as I have not even managed to log in to the site. At the moment, I have to endure 'connection issues' with the site claiming there is no internet - despite me being in the middle of Drogheda, Dublin, Buncrana and Galway this past week - yet every other app works perfectly. With the previous app, I could do so when needed. Since I 'updated' the app last week, only twice - twice have I been able to actually access my account on my phone to see what money is in my account. Can you please explain to me why you lot in there insist on torturing your customers? What was wrong with the previous app that ye decided to go along and 'update' it? If it aint broken, don't fix it - is a saying ye should take heed of.
